I have worked in retail travel for 40 years, sending clients to lots of exciting destinations. I have worked at Freedom Travel since June 2017. I am now branch manager of the store.

No day is ever the same with every client looking from something different. It can be anything from coach tours and package holidays to cruises, tailormade worldwide itineraries and private jets.

At Freedom Travel we enjoy making people’s holiday dreams become a reality.

I have been in travel all my life, over 40 years, mainly working in travel agencies but also for tour operators.

I founded Freedom Travel & Cruise almost 20 years ago , and although I have now passed over the reins, I still work here part time. Travel is in my blood .

Countries Visited & Favourite Destinations

I have been lucky to have travelled extensively, both for work and for pleasure. Some of my favourite destinations are Mauritius, the Maldives, Barbados, and St Lucia. On short-haul holidays, I love Italy and Portugal.

I am a self-confessed cruise addict; I have lost count of how many I have been on. It’s over 40 and I have still not finished.

My knowledge of destinations helps us select the perfect destinations to fit our clients.

Customer service is key to us and certainly keeps our clients coming back for more.

I have always loved to travel – having at least 3 holidays per year with my parents, I carried it into my adult life.

Last year I had 5 holidays – it is my favourite thing to do.

I started in travel at 15 Years old – (4 weeks before I turned 16) , on a YTS for Lunn Poly in Droylsden – where I completed my Level 2 & 3 in Travel & Tourism

From there I went to work for Thomson Holidays – working at the Call centre at The Royal Exchange in Manchester – Dealing with Agents Direct.

Also worked for Travel Care Direct in Trafford.

I then had a very big break from Travel as a job as I had 3 young boys quite close together.

I am now back in Travel at the grand old age of 44 as my 4 boys are now grown up and only 1 left at school – and am loving it.
